Customer behavior — see the whole path to the order
Analytics tell you how many people came. This tells you what those people did: where they came from, which pages they went through, how long they really spent on each one, whether they reached the cart, what they managed to fill in and at which step they gave up.
What it answers
- Where they came from — a search engine, an ad, a social network, a price comparison site, or an AI assistant.
- Which way they went — page by page, in the order they really visited them.
- How long they spent on each page — we count only the time your site was genuinely in front of them, not a tab left open in the background.
- Did they reach the cart? And on to shipping, to payment, to the thank-you page?
- What they filled in — shipping, payment, e-mail, phone. And what they left empty.
- Did something go wrong? Did they submit the form twice? Did it come back with an error?
How this differs from ordinary analytics
Analytics show you that sixty percent of people left the checkout. What they never tell you is that one of them filled in shipping and address, submitted the order twice and got an error both times. That is the difference between a number and a story — and only a story can be fixed.
How it works
- You paste a short measuring script into your site template. It is the same script the Silent EYE uses, so if it is already there, you have nothing to do.
- The script watches which way a person goes and where they get stuck.
- The data is sent only as they leave the page — so that it carries the time spent and how far down they got.
- You see the funnel and the individual journeys in your account.
What is never measured
We do not store the IP address, the contents of forms, or anything a person could be identified by. For form fields we send only the type of field and whether there is something in it — never what it says. Passwords, card numbers and one-time codes the script does not send at all, not even the type. For the referring site we keep only the category, never the full address. A visit is tied to the browser tab and ends when that tab is closed.
What you should know
- We cannot see into your orders. “Completed” therefore means the person reached the thank-you page — not that the payment arrived.
- Anyone who opens your site in two tabs is counted twice. The overstatement is small, and we would rather admit it than polish the numbers.
- Without the script nothing is measured, and the collector accepts data only from domains we have allowed.
- We never guess. Where we do not know why someone left, we say so straight out.
