Do Google and AI understand your products?

Enter a product or shop URL — we check the structured data (schema.org) Google and AI use to read price, availability, brand and GTIN.

Why product structured data matters

Google and AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI) don’t read your page like a human — they read structured data based on the schema.org standard. Without it, Google won’t show a price or star ratings for the product, the item won’t match Google Shopping, and AI will find and recommend it less. Shops with clean product data win visibility — and cheaper customers from search.

What the product audit checks

How to fix it per platform

Shoptet — fills in most of it automatically (microdata). In the admin, mainly add GTIN and manufacturer/brand for each product.

Shopify — most modern themes add Product schema; if missing, use a JSON-LD app. Fill in Barcode (GTIN) and Vendor (brand).

WooCommerce — an SEO plugin (Rank Math, Yoast, etc.) adds Product schema. Fill in GTIN and brand on your products.

Custom build — add JSON-LD Product + Offer to the product template: name, price, priceCurrency, availability, gtin13, brand and image.

FAQ

Do I need a GTIN for every product?
For products with a barcode, yes — Google matches them to its catalog by GTIN. For custom or handmade products use brand and MPN, or set identifier_exists = no in your feed.

What if products are rendered by JavaScript?
Google usually runs JavaScript, but AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity) often do not — they see an empty page. Put structured data in the HTML, not only in JavaScript.

Will Google show star ratings automatically?
Only if the product has AggregateRating or Review schema and meets Google’s rules. Without reviews, Google will still show price and availability from Product schema.

Is the product audit free?
Yes. Enter a specific product URL and instantly see the product score and what to add — no sign-up.
